Preachers and Language

Preachers must learn to love grammar! They must make an effort to understand how language functions. If they don't, it is impossible for them to do their work. It is true that the Bible is a divinely inspired book. But it is still a book. And it must be read like a book. We must respect the basic grammatical sense of its words and phrases.
